DVD Reviewers
At WhatDVD.Net we have a number of film and DVD reviewers providing reviews for our website. Some have been with us many years, writing quality DVD reviews since the begining, while some are more recent. Here are our DVD reviewers, with links to their reviews:
Darren Jamieson
Darren has enjoyed an interest in film for many years, studying the subject at Newport Film School where he worked on the film ‘Cop on the Edge IX: Prelude to Justice‘ in a directing and acting capacity. The official site can be enjoyed here. Darren setup WhatDVD.Net in 2003 to further his love of films and to write passionately about the movies he enjoys, and about those that he doesn’t.
Although his day-to-day activities mean that he now has less time to review movies than he would ideally prefer, he still tries to review new releases, and DVDs from his extensive collection, whenever possible.

JD Lafrance
J.D. is a freelance writer who is currently doing research for a book on the films of Michael Mann. He likes reading anything written by Jack Kerouac, James Ellroy, J.D. Salinger, Harlan Ellison or Thomas Pynchon. J.D. is currently addicted to the T.V. series 24 and enjoys drinking a lot of Sprite. This is not a blatant plug for the beverage but if they ever decided to give him a lifetime supply he certainly wouldn’t turn them down.

Eddie Keaton
Eddie is an accomplished film theorist, having also studied with Darren at Newport Film School. Eddie directed the film ‘Cop on the Edge IX: Prelude to Justice’ and has spent many hours feverishly discussing the pros and cons of cinema, while watching every movie Steven Seagal has ever made. Eddie loves Die Hard more than life itself.

Tom Ramsbottom
Tom is a screenwriter and author. He has an Advanced Media GNVQ and a HNC in Media Production. Tom’s hobbies include going to the cinema, watching Buffy on TV and reading and cycling. (All at the same time). He loves David Lynch and Robert Zemeckis films and hopes one day to write and direct his own movies. His first novel ‘Wound’ came out in March 2003. There is nothing he does not know about film. (Or thinks he does).

Jason Cook
Jason was born sometime in the seventies & is currently residing in the capital city of the Great British Empire. He is obsessed by all things cinematic with particular interest in the works of Sergio Leone, Billy Wilder, Martin Scorsese & Akira Kurosawa. Not forgetting Michael Winner of course! When not watching movies he can be found writing about them, or endeavouring to finally finish that dusty dog-eared screenplay. Other than the world of cinema he has what some would claim to be an unhealthy interest in Chimps, Gorillas, Mandrills & all our hairy relatives.

Helen Hartfield
Helen is an avid cinema goer (going at least 2-3 times a week!) and she owns more than 200 dvds! She has to shamefully admit that she loves Sylvester Stallone and has seen pretty much all of his movies! I hope for Helen’s sake that that doesn’t include Judge Dredd and The Specialist!
