ESCAPE TO THE WILD, the complete series presented by Kevin McCloud about families that have moved to live in remote areas around the world, is coming to DVD on 9th Nov 2015 for £17.99.
Sure to ignite wanderlust in the hearts of many who have dreamt of quitting the rat race and moving away, ESCAPE TO THE WILD travels to far flung, remote areas to meet and spend time with British families who have built their own personal havens in beautiful but extreme conditions. The series originally aired on Channel 4, proved to be an instant hit with viewers and garnered a loyal fan following.
The Atkinson family lives in Belize, Central America and has grown accustomed to losing their pets to jaguars and poultry to snakes. The von Engelbrechten family routinely copes with hurricanes and earthquakes on a small tropical island in the South Pacific. Jago, an ex IT project manager, and Lucy, a former lawyer, live in the remote mountains of South America with their three children, next to a volcano. Couple Richard and Claire Rees have made a home for themselves in sub-arctic Sweden with their 54 huskies for company.
Kevin McCloud, popular presenter of one of the longest running TV series GRAND DESIGN, brings his unique element to ESCAPE TO THE WILD. His fans will be delighted to see McCloud expertly conquering new environments and challenges.
