Bornedal’s signature style, combining stark realism with surreal violence, stars ANDERS W. BERTHELSEN, REBECKA HEMSE and NIKOLAJ LIE KAAS (Angels and Demons).  In this jaw?dropping thriller, Jonas (BERTHELESEN) is restless living his own suburban fairy tale life, only to find an escape from the trap of routine in the most unlikely of places. But when the past catches up with him he is utterly unprepared for the horrifying consequences. Like Hitchcock meets WHILE YOU WERE SLEEPING, with gruesome results.

JUST ANOTHER LOVE STORY follows crime scene photographer Jonas and his desperate desire for a brand new life. When he inadvertently causes the young, attractive and rich Julia (HEMSE) to crash her car that results in her amnesia and with her boyfriend confirmed dead abroad, Jonas leaves his family and assumes the role of Julia’s devoted lover. Enjoying his new longedfor
lavish lifestyle complete with a new woman and a house in the country, he is completely floored by the arrival of Sebastian (LIE?KAAS), Julia’s real boyfriend and the terrifying consequences of his jealousy.

The whole idea came from wanting to see a poster of a tormented face of a man looking straight at you. He’s incredibly sweaty and fearful, with bloodstains over his head, and then I should like to see JUST ANOTHER LOVE STORY alongside it. That satiric statement was interesting and then I started to rewind that picture. How did he get to that point? ? OLE BORNEDAL

Ole Bornedal is one of the foremost Danish filmmakers. He remade his breakthrough feature film NATTEVAGTEN (1994) as 1997’s NIGHTWATCH with Ewan McGregor, Nick Nolte and Patricia Arquette, to critical acclaim and box office success. He is currently working on a Tokyo?based film with Takashige Ichise, the producer of the cult horror Japanese films of THE RING and THE GRUDGE of which were recently remade for Hollywood.
